My chest is still healing, but I am back to work. I have started working out again, but I have to take it so, so, so slowly.
I have learned quickly that I can't just jump back into my workouts. I can't start running again yet, so I walk. I can't do pushups again yet, so I hold planks. These little modifications make a huge difference to my life. It keeps me from getting reinjured, but allows me to do what I need to do to build my body back up.
I am shocked on an almost daily basis as to how much strength and stamina I have lost over the last year. It saddens me, but gives me hope.
I remember being soft and weak before. I was able to build me body then, and I can do it again now.
